Text Box: To our esteemed Alpha Sigma alumni,
I am truly honored to be writing to you in this letter, for it is by your hands, minds, and mischief that this tremendous group I am so fortunate to be a part of has been shaped. First of all, I cannot begin to express how incredible it has been for me to be a part of this group for the past three years, and I truly hope your experiences were the same. I believe that we do try our best to uphold as many of the traditions of Alpha Sigma as possible, and I would like to thank our new advisor and group alum himself, Mr. Bob Kerin, for his help in those efforts.
I think you would all be happy to see what has been going on in the group as I feel that the increased number of group functions is really bringing the group closer together. We have Text Box: once again started the traditional patio parties, which are financially mush easier with the addition of a new Aldi’s in town . . . cheap quality and even cheaper prices. The bowling nights, which have become an annual tradition, are also always highly attended. The most recent addition to our group’s activities: paintball. We may suck, and be slow as anything, but man does it feel good to cap one of those hot-shot nine year olds in the butt, who cares if he’s on your team? Anyway, rest assured that the group is in good hands and I hope to see as many of you as possible at fall party this year!
I’ll leave you with the slogan the football team has come up with for the year . . .
“1-whatever . . . who cares, we won one!!!”

Text Box: years of Alpha Sigma’s existence, and we would like to document them all. This is where you can help out. If you have any pictures, traditions, stories, ideas, a really bad joke, or anything else that could be related to Alpha Sigma, please send them along so they can be appreciated for years to come.
Please sent all materials to our current historian—Mike Chambers at:

Text Box: Alpha Sigma is now in it’s 26th official year as a housing group at Grove City College. However, only since 1996 has the group had the office of historian to allow for the group’s members to not become forgotten as the years pass us by. Naturally, many years of Alpha Sigma history are lost, stories forgotten, and traditions faded away. We as a group would like to be able to look back on those noble Alpha Sigs who came before us, know their tales, and the history that so solidly made the group what it is today. I’m quite sure that many notable events have transpired in the 26 Text Box: Give Back to Alpha Sigma
Text Box: in order to be a member. Additional funds in the Alpha Sigma account will allow for increased group functions, unity, and cohesiveness. I encourage you all to consider giving back to a group that formed part of your life here at Grove City and helped to create the person you are today.
Enclosed you will find an addressed envelope you can use to donate if you so choose. Make checks payable to Alpha Sigma.
Text Box: Alpha Sigma hosts fall and spring parties every year, as well as various other dances and patio parties. Most of the money for this comes directly from the members in order for them to attend. This is usually not a problem, but does limit attendance and our ability to have many more functions throughout the school year. As you know, Alpha Sigma only collects a small activity waiver fee at the beginning of each semester as opposed to fraternities and sororities paying outrageously overpriced dues Text Box: “I encourage you all to consider giving back to a group that formed part of your life here at Grove City and helped to create the person you are today.”
